Katarina Witt was born at the end of December on Staaken East Germany. In her search for new opportunities, she constantly opens the doors to new opportunities for herself. She also accumulates knowledge with various areas of figure skating, producing performing, presenting, acting, and writing. Katarina Witt's illustrious amateur career ends for now following the 1988 World Championships. In the next three years is when Witt co-headlines her debut as a professional in Canada as well as the United States with World Champion Brian Boitano. The program "Witt and Boitano Skating" has been so popular that the Madison Square Garden in New York is completely sold out the figure skating event on the first occasion in ten years. Her third Olympic Games appearance in Lillehammer took place in 1994.
